About Us

As a person living with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, our founder has searched for clothing that expresses ideas on mental health in a humorous way.  It turns out that there is a lack of casual wear lines dedicated to opening dialogue on mental health issues, and communicating experiences with mental health, in a relatable way.

Statistics Canada reports that in 2022, more than 5 million people in Canada met the diagnostic criteria for a mood, anxiety or substance use disorder, with the prevalence of mood and anxiety disorders increasing substantially over the previous 10 years.

About half of the people who met the diagnostic criteria for a mood, anxiety, or substance use disorder talked to a health professional about their mental health in the 12 months before the survey.  It was further reported that among the people who met the same criteria, 1 in 3 reported unmet or partially met needs for mental health care services.

Some persons do not access mental health care likely due to socio-cultural differences in willingness to report symptoms of mental illness, or related to the stigma associated with mental illness

The characters featured on our designs are named Alex and their dog Pope. Find your favourite design today, and let your clothing create conversations that matter.
